One of the way for you to do the kimono patterns=
LEVEL : BASIS
AI=Illustrator CS4 (i am encourage you to learn more and more!)
Estheryu= Using the AI since Year 2008.

for me, AI quite hard for me in starting, but i had read the manual book for playing the AI.
it had super more functions for you to know, trust me! you will get a little bit addict in AI when you get the key!

*I had do the freelance for product designs before (><" = this estheryu very good luck got someone in forum willing to paid her and need her so bad, i still don't know WHY!?), AI also use in the printing output file (MUST KNOW).
P/S: sorry, i no accept any freelance for Graphic Design plus i not the graphic designer!

PS Photoshop CS4 (the most of the artist use it but just only 10-50% for PS knowledge)
Estheryu= Using the PS since Year 2004.
before work as an Illustrator, i am quite feel okey enough for my photoshop skills,
after become a "pro", you may never get enough for it!

how to apply kimono pattern for the kimono cloth by estheryu's way:
LEVEL : BASIS + learn more

1)"Lineart" layer always on top and set in multiply and create a kimono pattern in the "kimono pattern" layer.
2) close the "eye" for "kimono pattern" layer. now using the "magic wand tool"(w) to select the part that need to apply the kimono pattern.
3) open the "eye" for "kimono pattern" layer. now need to opposite select the part that no need to apply the kimono pattern = Press "shift"+"Ctrl"+ "i" (at same time) .
4) then go to the "kimono pattern" layer and click "Delete "= All the extra pattern will gone!

for the Alive people, wrap the right side of the kimono over the front and then overlap it with the left side. This is an important point to avoid looking like the walking dead. The only time the kimono is wrapped the opposite way is for traditional funeral dress.
